Permit and test-day planning

Plan the vehicle and appointments for Mexia & Central Texas.

Should I arrange the permit, test truck or DPS appointment first?

Choose the vehicle goal, then work through the applicable permit and ELDT steps. Check your test-site confirmation before paying for a rental. Tell the Royse City office whether you have prior combination-vehicle or straight-truck experience.

Find the right DPS location before booking equipment

Ask the driver license office about permit requirements and the test-vehicle provider about the appointment on your confirmation. Compare timing, fuel and travel before paying.

Office suggestions use the listed locations near the starting city. Your appointment confirmation determines the actual test address. Get Your CDL Quick! provides its in-person vehicle services in Royse City.

Get an itemized quote for your trip

Have your permit class, transmission preference, prior experience, test location and appointment date ready. Ask which rental charges apply to your test site, what fuel costs extra and whether your selection qualifies for separate complimentary behind-the-wheel ELDT.
